Real Spanish paella, we love to eat it!
Paella can be prepared in different ways. You can choose a vegetarian version, meat or fish. Consider a version with meat such as chicken or chorizo. Paella with shrimps and mussels is also delicious. You can also opt for both fish and meat, because that's what the Spanish do themselves!
Such a big colourful meal in a beautiful paella pan always does well.
Buy the tastiest paella seasoning. Enjoy the dish with a delicious glass of Spanish sangria.
What do you need for this paella with chorizo, chicken thigh and prawns?
For four people:
Briquette grid
Chorizo
1 onion
2 peppers
Possibly 1 red pepper
200 g peas
400 gr chicken thighs
200/250 grams of large prawns
450 grams paella rice (packet Lassie)
One 0.5 to 1 can of diced tomatoes (to taste)
1 litre chicken stock
1 lemon
Preparation
Give the briquette grid its place in the BBQ outdoor cooking stove.
Fill the BBQ starter with coals, briquettes and kindling. Wait about 20 minutes until it is ready to start the BBQ.
Empty the BBQ starter onto the briquette grate.
Also place the paella pan in the BBQ outdoor cooking stove and continue preparing the paella.
Cut the chorizo into pieces and fry them (without oil or with a little olive oil) in the paella pan. If the chorizo has become a little too crispy, remove some pieces from the pan.
Cut the chicken thigh into pieces and add it to the pan as well. Fry it a little until the chicken is browned.
If raw prawns, you can fry them with the chicken.
Dice the pepper and onion and add any pepper. Stir for a moment!
Pour in the rice and stir well.
Grab the paella seasoning and diced tomatoes to taste.
Cook everything together until tender with chicken stock (about 20 minutes).
Halfway through, add some peas and the fried chorizo. If pre-cooked prawns add them now!
The paella is ready to serve! Don't forget to add some lemon slices to the paella.
