Can enamel be used in the oven?
- Yes, enamel can go in the oven, up to 250 ºC!
- By contrast, enamel is absolutely not suitable for use in the microwave.
Beware of acids
- Acid in food (such as applesauce or rhubarb, for example) can corrode the enamel, resulting in rust.
Avoid bumps and large temperature changes
- The glaze can splinter, resulting in rust spots.
- Beware of knocks, enamel is strong but splinters can break off.

Enamel can basically just go in the dishwasher.
