We are always looking for tasty recipes, so we are happy to share this tasty recipe for making this delicious aubergine with peanut sauce with the Weltevree Outdooroven all-in-one all-purpose oven!
Aubergine lovers take note!
Use the Outdooroven in three different ways for this recipe: pre-cook the aubergine first in the oven compartment, grill the skewers over the fire and heat the sauce on the top of the oven. Fire up the Outdooroven and make this delicious recipe.

What do you need for this tasty aubergine recipe?
For four people:
2 aubergines
A piece of ginger root measuring approx. 3 cm
2 cloves of garlic
125 ml soy sauce manis
2 tbsp peanut butter sambal to taste
1 tbsp brown soft sugar
2 tbsp serundeng
Metal skewers
Steel pan
Wood to fire the Outdooroven with
Fry it up!
Preparation
Heat the Outdoor oven with the firewood
Prick the aubergines all around with a fork, place in the Ovendish and pre-cook for about 30 minutes until soft but not yet limp.
Let the aubergine cool and, in the meantime, make the marinade.
Finely chop the garlic and ginger, mix with 75 ml soy sauce and marinate the aubergine in this for 30 minutes.
Thread the aubergine cubes onto the metal skewers and grill over the fire for about 10 minutes until tender. Use the grill rack of the Outdoor oven for this.
Meanwhile, make the peanut sauce. In a saucepan, mix the remaining 50 ml soy sauce with the peanut butter, caster sugar, 125 ml water and sambal to taste.
Heat the sauce on top of the Outdoor oven until smooth. Remove the aubergine skewers from the grill and serve with serving deng and the peanut sauce.
Serve with a fresh baguette for dipping.
